Live Spanish & Italian

Learning a language is relearning how to connect.

I'm Pat, a sworn translator and language teacher from Uruguay, now based in Italy. At Cultura Viva I teach Spanish and Italian in small live groups — no apps, no recorded lessons, just real people on the other side of the screen.

How I teach

Natural communication, not app drills

Small, live groups

Real classes with real people, not repetitions in front of a screen. You speak from the very first session.

Intercultural awareness

Every class connects language and culture: understanding why something is said, not just how.

A living community

A steady space to practice, make mistakes, and come back — not a course you abandon after week two.

This mini course is my way of showing you, before telling you, how I work. By the end of the third video, I'll invite you to Cultura Viva, the community where we go deeper into all of this, live.

About me

From Uruguay to Italy, building bridges between languages.

I'm a sworn Spanish-English translator and language teacher with years of experience teaching both in person and live online. I live in Italy, moving between Spanish, Italian, and English every day — and that trilingual life is exactly what I bring to every class.

Cultura Viva was born from a simple conviction: you learn a language by talking with people, not by repeating in front of a screen.
